EVERY INGREDIENT EARNS ITS PLACE
We chose an algae-derived vitamin D3 (D3V®). Beyond being vegan, there was something compelling about its provenance. Algae have existed in relationship with sunlight for an extraordinary span of time. For a brand whose subject begins with light, it felt like the right place for the formulation to begin too.
D3 leads the formulation; K2 accompanies it. We use K2VITAL®, a highly stable Vitamin K2 MK-7 in its bioactive all-trans form.
D3 and K2 are fat-soluble, so we deliver them in an oil. Our carrier is single-origin macadamia, hand-harvested from agroforestry in the rain-fed volcanic soils of the Mount Kenya Highlands.
The tree earns its place in the landscape: its roots hold the soil, gather water and support the life around it. The oil is naturally rich in monounsaturated fatty acids.
The capsule is plant-based HPMC, a plant cellulose-derived material. Its deep colour comes from purple carrot extract, creating a distinctive shade without artificial colourants or preservatives.
